Trapani's old town centre is a largely pedestrian area. It features interesting old building such as the Torre della Colombaia, the offshore fortress and churches including the cathedral di San Lorenzo. On Good Friday, wooden statues are carried through Trapani's streets. During the rest of the year, these pieces can be admired in the Chiesa del Purgatorio.
In the modern part of the city, visitors can have a look at the Santuario dell'Annunziata a grandiose church and the museo regionale pepoli. The regional museum features a collection of local exhibits and Medieval Art.

Nubia salt museum is set in a 300 years old salt working house. In this museum are shown the different phases and the equipment needed for the working of the salt.

Erice:

Erice is located on top of a mount; it overlooks Trapini and the North West coast of Sicily. It benefits of a Mediterranean climate with hot weather in summer and pleasant temperature in winter.
Erice features several important monuments including the Chiesa Matrice, the Medieval Castle and the municipality building home of the museum of the Cordici.
